Hyosung Hyosung is relatively new manufacturer of motorcycles starting from about 1978 in South Korea. The brand has a leg up in credibility because it uses Suzuki based engines. That said due to globalisation the company in turn makes parts for Suzuki and other automotive brands. Just remember Hyosung PR people it is perfectly OK to say engines from Suzuki - even Aprilia does it. Also remember to take the time to develop engines and other things at your own pace and of course go MotoGP racing. Then again if you can't go racing at least show some design flair because on-one seems to be able to design anything half descent these days. Although an odd name I'm sure it will become familiar over time
just like the Japanese brands! |

GT250R![]() Specifications in Brief
Engine: V2 cylinder 4-stroke Comment By far the best looking sporty 250 you can buy new in Australia. If you're image bias just replace the decals with some other name or even remove them completely no-one but the anal will be the wiser. Some great top range specs like upside down forks, adjustable footrest and 2 front discs makes it statement as a modern motorcycle. Very large fuel tank for its class. Change the mufflers and you've got Ducati-ish sound to boot. It is unfortunate that is shares the engine and gear box with the cruiser version which means its not the fastest thing on in tis class. As for the design well its probably what the
Japanese would have done if they still made new sporty models in
this class -which they don't. So I guess you could call the
GT250R class leading as a result. How much does the Hyosung GT250R cost? |
GV250 Aquila![]() Specifications in Brief
Engine: V2 cylinder 4-stroke Comment Unfortunately Hyosung just like all other manufacturers have designed it in an Harley-ish format (I think they call it custom bikes these days). It doesn't fool anyone because everyone knows what Harleys sound like. I wish they tried to improve on the basic design like what Honda have done and indeed what they did to the GT version.
