Cagiva is an Italian motorcycle company.   Largely unknown to most but their owners are regarded as saviours of more famous brands like MV Agusta, Husqvarna and Ducati.  They have even had a few racing successes over the years.

Engines have been based on Suzuki and Ducati designs over the years.

It looks like a mini Ducati - and it is - sort off...  You see it was designed by the same guy who did the classic Ducati's (916) of the 90's - Massimo Tamburini.

Like other 2 strokes in this class (Ie.  Aprilia) don't let the single cylinder fool you in thinking this is a slow bike.  It's not.  It's a 2 stroke and it's very light.  Amazing suspension setup and engine parts. Remember that there have been many variants over the years.

These models are often used by local club racers.
