NEWS : Finally an update to the website design.  This update brings it inline with the general high performance motorcycle site which I also write for.  Enjoy!

Updated :  30 December 2008

This is the list of 250cc motorcycles that are banned or illegal for learner motorcyclists to ride.  These where formerly motorcycles which learners could ride but have now been legislated out of existence at least for LAMS purposes.  The list applies to most Australian States and territories with LAMS in place.

The common feature of these motorcycles is that they are all two stroke engines.  All have dramatic power and different riding requirements and characteristics and limited life span due to high maintenance compared to 4 strokes engines.  They could be described as production race motorcycles!

They where great during the heyday in the and early 90's but emissions and technology have moved forward so should you.
