I put this page up so that you can compare the Toyota Prado to the GU model Nissan Patrol. Not exactly a 'equal' comparison but still valid since both are priced in the category.

If you view the technical specifications of both models the are quite different. Specifications are for 2008 models. The details are listed below and you can read the 150 series comparison in the separate section.

Of course technical similarities do not always mean that superior specifications means better performance. Real life experience with both models are needed to judge properly.

See below for specification and price differences and the other pages for the newer 150 series comparison.

GU Nissan Patrol
VS
120 Series Toyota Prado

The Nissan Patrol has been available in its current model cycle for about 10 years. Very few cars have that sort of longevity! Not many improvements or technical changes have been made to the basic model for various reasons. It is also not for sale in many countries.

We like the Patrol and was initially on the shopping list but as you will discover it feels dated, slow and unrefined in comparison. In isolation the Patrol is actually a decent car for on and off road use and one that will be reliable for many years.

The Nissan Patrol is also very relatively very well priced to buy especially considering its top of the class off road, towing and long distance touring abilities. Just make sure the car has been serviced if buying used.
