How fast is the Land Cruiser Prado?

Clearly the Prado is not a performance car by any means but everyone is interested in how fast the car can go anyway. This page details to the performance of the 120 series Land Cruiser Prado. If you're after the 150 series you'll have to see the 150 reviews page links!

These figures are presumably based on 91 Octane petrol.

Of course performance can mean handling, fuel economy, power and of course 0-100kph, top speed and things like that.  But this is not a race car so I researched the usual claimed performance figures for the Land Cruiser/Prado and extracted these performance figures for the Prado/Land Cruiser.

I presume the figures are based on averages and using the highest octane unleaded petrol and cleanest diesel you can get.  They probably used the light models for the test - at a guess and probably is a controlled environment with a run-in but new engine!

Performance figures will vary according to model and country!

Claim for the Lexus GX V8 is 8.1 sec 0-60mph.
Claim for the Prado GXL V6 is 9.5 secs 0-100kph

My own testing estimate based on GPS is 9.4sec 0-100kph.  Although still new at the time of writing it's not a slow car by any means.
