Introduction

Just something different I decided to compare what I thought are the important differences between the two models. There are a lots of differences!

Note that specifications will change according to the trim models available and additional or less accessories.

Both Prado and and Series 200 Landcruiser are both lovely cars and it may be possible that car buyers in many countries where the two models will be sold will cross shop between the them.

See below for the specification comparison.

120 Series Toyota Prado
VS
200 Series Toyota Land Cruiser

The 200 series Land Cruiser was released in 2008 and a complete revamp of the 100 Series. It has been taken up market in terms of pricing and model specification. You can no longer buy a stripped out or basic version.  In this regard the Prado replaces the 100 series.

The 200 series is bigger on the inside and outside compared to the Prado. Quality of materials is higher likewise the climb in! It is quieter and faster. it also uses more petrol.

If you really want a bigger styled Prado then the 200 series Land Cruiser is the car you should get. The latest Land Cruiser is definitely not what you'd call stylish but it does have on road presence because of its size.

Driving the 200 series is a simple task with the only flaw being its size. There is plenty of smooth and deceptive power despite the weight and off road ability. We definitely like what is offers and the only thing preventing us from replacing the Prado with one is cost and that it does fit in the garage.
